Enter a start time and an end time, with seconds if you like, to see the exact time between them.
If the end is earlier than the start, the start is assumed to be on the previous day.
Find the days, hours, minutes and seconds between a time on one date and a time on a later date.
It finds the exact length of time between two clock times, down to the second. From 8:30:15 AM to 5:45:50 PM is 9 hours, 15 minutes and 35 seconds. The result is also given as a decimal number of hours, a total number of minutes and a total number of seconds, so you can use whichever fits your task, from payroll to timing a process.
In the first calculator, an end time that is earlier than the start time is taken to be on the next day, so 5:30 PM to 8:30 AM is 15 hours. The second calculator adds a date to each time, so you can measure spans of many days. It reports the whole days first, then the remaining hours, minutes and seconds, and also the total as hours, minutes and seconds.
Type the hour, minute and second in the three boxes and choose AM or PM. An hour above 12 is read as 24-hour time. Use the Now button to fill in the current time from your device. The calculation uses clock times only, so it does not allow for daylight saving time changes between the two dates.
Subtract the start time from the end time, borrowing 60 seconds from the minutes, and 60 minutes from the hours, as needed.
There are 3,600 seconds in an hour and 86,400 seconds in a day.
In the first calculator, the start is assumed to be on the previous day. In the second, both dates are used, so enter the start before the end.
No. If the dates cross a clock change, the real elapsed time is an hour more or less than the clock times suggest.
Use the Time Calculator, which adds and subtracts hours, minutes and seconds.
