Count the days between two dates with weekends, holidays and business days, or find a date a set number of days away.
Find the number of days, weekend days, holidays and business days between two dates.
Find the date that is a number of days, or business days, before or after a date.
Choose which holidays to leave out of the business day count. Both calculators above use these settings. Custom holidays repeat on the same date every year.
The calculator counts the whole days from the start date up to, but not including, the end date, so from Monday to the next Monday is 7 days. Tick the box to include the end day, which adds 1. If the start is after the end, the two dates are swapped. Along with the total it counts how many of those days fall on a Saturday or Sunday, how many are holidays, and how many are business days.
A business day is a weekday, Monday to Friday, that is not a holiday. You can choose which holidays to leave out. The list starts with the common United States federal holidays and also has options for Black Friday, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. You can add up to six holidays of your own. A holiday that falls on a weekend is shown in the list but does not reduce the business days, since the weekend is already off.
The second calculator takes a date and moves it forward or back by a number of days. With the business days box ticked, it skips weekends and the holidays you chose, so 5 business days after a Monday is the next Monday. The start day is not counted. This works the way a spreadsheet does with its working-day functions. Check the result against your own contract if a deadline depends on it, as some agreements count days differently.
Subtract the earlier date from the later one. This calculator does it for you and can add 1 to include the end day.
They are the weekdays, Monday to Friday, in the period, minus any holidays that fall on those weekdays.
The common U.S. federal holidays are on by default, and you can switch each one off or add Black Friday, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. You can also enter six holidays of your own.
It means moving forward five weekdays that are not holidays, not counting the start day. Five business days after a Monday is the next Monday.
Counting from one date up to another gives the number of days passed. Tick the include box if you want both the first and last day counted, as for a hotel stay or a project length.
